Since 1945, Catholic Social Services (CSS) has been a source of compassion, dignity, and hope for those Christ calls us to serve throughout our community. Serving over 10,000 individuals annually, our mission is supported by dedicated volunteers who help seniors find connection, guide families towards a brighter future, and assist young adults in transitioning to the workforce. Rooted in the belief that every person reflects the image of God, we journey together as neighbors, empowering individuals to shape their own futures with our unwavering support.
CSS continues to respond to the rapidly growing senior population in Central and Southern Ohio, with a strategy to double the number of seniors served in the next 10 years through innovation, volunteer engagement, and partnerships. Similarly, CSS has renewed its focus on responding to the unmet needs of families who are trying to build better lives for themselves, but who are balancing the complicated and interrelated challenges of poverty. We help our clients use their own strengths and leverage the support of the entire community to reach their goals. With the addition of new support for families with infants and toddlers, CSS will now serve all generations within our community.
Driven by our faith to serve as neighbors , we gather annually, to understand the challenges of poverty and respond with courage. Join the Most Reverend Bishop Earl K. Fernandes, Bishop of the Diocese of Columbus, and His Eminence Christophe Cardinal Pierre, the Apostolic Nuncio as they discuss How We Walk As Neighbors In A Modern World.
The proceeds of this event will provide crucial support for our 13 poverty-reducing programs. Our agency helps working-poor families stabilize and become self-sufficient through case management, mental healthcare, and emergency assistance. We help low-income seniors age with grace and independence through our supportive services and community-impact opportunities. Whether we are working with families or seniors, we know that poverty is complicated and requires holistic solutions.
Consider making an investment in your community by partnering with Catholic Social Services.
