God designed us to live lives with others—a need that only grows as we age. But in a world where family structures are changing and communities are becoming more dispersed, many older adults find themselves alone, lacking meaningful daily interactions that are crucial for mental and emotional well-being. In keeping with our commitment to be like Christ in His radical approach to seeking out those the world habitually leaves behind, the Senior Companion Program is designed to enhance the lives of seniors and volunteers alike, fostering a sense of purpose and creating joy through connection.
The Senior Companion Program is a powerful initiative that enables seniors to share their life’s journey. It pairs senior volunteers with like-minded peers, fostering meaningful connections and combating loneliness among seniors. Through casual chats, fulfilling activities, and creating lasting memories, the program enhances the quality of life for both seniors and their companions. By providing a supportive network and encouraging social interaction, it enriches the lives of seniors and promotes positive well-being in their golden years.
