Catholic Social Services looks at their employees and sees the potential each person has and works with you to bring out your full potential. I am recognized for the role I play on the team; they ask for your opinion, and it is taken into consideration. Catholic Social Services has a higher purpose and because of that, the challenges and variety of work are great!
I feel the programs that Catholic Social Services provides make a difference in the community; Catholic Social Services lives up to their mission, “Motivated by faith, Catholic Social Services helps poor and vulnerable seniors and families reach their potential.” What other organization do you know of that does that?
Peggy Sirbaugh, Programs Administration
“The most serious of the evils that afflict the world these days are youth unemployment and the loneliness of the old. The old need care and companionship; the young need work and hope” – Pope Francis
CSS is nationally accredited by the Council on Accreditation (COA), which certifies that all operations and programs meet best practice standards for professional service. Founded in 1977, COA is an independent, nonprofit organization that partners with human service organizations worldwide to improve service delivery outcomes by developing, applying, and promoting appropriate best practice standards. COA Standards reflect current best practices in the field as determined by extensive literature reviews and a rigorous, multi-stage development and vetting process. Over 2,000 organizations — voluntary, public, and proprietary; local and statewide; large and small — have either successfully achieved, or are in the process of, accreditation. Implementing COA standards mean our organization is among the best in the field. We are proud to be a part of this community of excellence.
COA accreditation is an objective, independent, and reliable validation of an agency’s performance. The COA accreditation process involves a detailed review and analysis of an organization’s administration, management, and service delivery functions against international standards of best practice. The standards driving accreditation ensure that services are well-coordinated, culturally competent, evidence-based, outcomes-oriented and provided by a skilled and supported workforce. COA accreditation demonstrates accountability in the management of resources, sets standardized best practice thresholds for service and administration, and increases organizational capacity and accountability by creating a framework for ongoing quality improvement.
