We never do this work alone.

Every act of mercy, every moment of hope, and every life changed happens because of the compassion and generosity of people like you. Our work is a reflection of what is possible when neighbors choose to serve neighbors.

Your gift directly supports seniors, families, and persons with disabilities across 23 counties in central and southeastern Ohio. It helps provide food assistance, transportation, case management, ESL classes, workforce development, and the people who show up every day to make those programs possible.

Why It Matters

The need in our community is real, and it is close to home.

  • 15% of our neighbors live in poverty
  • 1 in 7 children in our region goes hungry
  • 1 in 4 seniors experiences isolation

Poverty is complicated. Meeting that need requires all of us.

Ways to Give

One-Time Gift

Make a one-time donation by credit card, check, or electronic transfer.

Checks should be made payable to Catholic Social Services and mailed to:

Catholic Social Services

One-time charitable gifts may be tax-deductible as permitted by law.

Recurring Donation

Monthly giving provides steady support that helps Catholic Social Services plan programs, respond to community needs, and serve our neighbors throughout the year.

Choose the amount and frequency that works for you and become part of a dependable foundation of support for CSS.

Leave a Legacy

Legacy Society

The impact of generosity can reach far beyond a lifetime.

Catholic Social Services’ Legacy Society recognizes those who choose to make our mission part of their lasting legacy through planned giving. By including CSS in your estate or financial plans, you can help ensure that future generations continue to find compassion, dignity, and hope when they need it most.

A legacy gift can take many forms, including:

  • A gift through your will or trust
  • Retirement plan assets
  • Charitable gift annuities
  • Charitable remainder trusts
  • Charitable lead trusts
  • Real estate
  • Donor-advised funds
  • Appreciated stock or other eligible assets

You may choose to support Catholic Social Services as a whole or direct your gift to an area of our mission that is especially meaningful to you.

Planned gifts can also be structured around your personal, family, and financial goals. Because tax and estate laws may change, we encourage donors to work with their attorney, financial advisor, or tax professional when considering a planned gift.

If you have already included Catholic Social Services in your plans, we would be honored to hear from you.

Stock, Securities and IRA Assets

Gifts of appreciated stock, securities, retirement assets, and other eligible investments may offer tax advantages while helping Catholic Social Services serve more neighbors throughout our community.

Stock gifts can be transferred directly to CSS. Qualified donors may also be able to make charitable distributions from IRA assets.

Download our stock transfer instructions or contact our Development Team for assistance.

Vehicle Donation

Turn a vehicle you no longer need into meaningful support for your neighbors.

Catholic Social Services partners with CARS to accept donated vehicles. Pickup and sale are coordinated through the program, and donors receive the appropriate donation documentation.

Good Samaritan Society

The Good Samaritan Society is Catholic Social Services’ service and giving community for people who want to go deeper in supporting our mission.

Rooted in the example of Luke 10, members live out Neighbors Serving Neighbors through volunteerism, charitable giving, or both.
