Case Management

Life rarely presents one problem at a time. A family navigating immigration paperwork may also be dealing with food insecurity, language barriers, and an employment gap all at once. CSS case managers are trained to see the whole picture, not just the presenting issue, and to walk alongside individuals and families as they work toward stability.

Case management services are available across multiple Catholic Social Services outreach centers, providing personalized, one-on-one support to individuals and families throughout central Ohio. Legal and immigration services are specifically offered through the Our Lady of Guadalupe Center.

What Case Management Includes

Every case management relationship begins with a conversation. A CSS case manager will take time to understand your situation, identify your immediate needs, and help you build a plan for next steps. Support is tailored to each person and may include:
  • Connection to food assistance and essential resources
  • ESL class enrollment and educational support
  • Immigration consultation and referrals to qualified legal partners
  • Health and wellness resource navigation
  • Entrepreneur program enrollment and workforce support
  • Empowerment groups and community connection
  • Referrals to healthcare providers and community programs
  • Ongoing support and follow-through as your situation evolves

Immigration Consultation and Support

The Our Lady of Guadalupe Center provides welcoming, culturally responsive support for immigrants and Hispanic/Latino families in central Ohio. Our team helps individuals and families understand available resources, identify next steps, and connect with trusted community partners.

Legal Consultations

CSS has an accredited Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA) legal representative on staff at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Center. She has served the OLGC community for fifteen years and has provided legal counseling to immigrants since receiving her BIA accreditation in 2023.
Legal immigration consultations help individuals understand their options and possible next steps. CSS may provide referrals to qualified immigration attorneys, accredited representatives, or community legal partners when additional legal assistance is needed.

Please note: CSS does not provide attorney representation. These consultations are designed to offer guidance, education, and support as part of the broader case management process.
